In 1992, that quick camera flash of my first wrongful mugshot changed everything. I was stripped of my innocence, separated from my family, and forced into a system designed to turn human beings into numbers. This marked the beginning of a 10-year battle inside America’s prison walls—becoming a living face behind the devastating wrongful conviction statistics tracked by The Innocence Project and The Exoneration Project.
Writing truth from inside the block.
Society labels you a "thug" the second you step inside, but ten years behind bars couldn't lock down my mind or my spirit. In the darkest corners of my cell, music became my survival asset. I began writing tracks to document the systemic cruelty, the heavy psychological weight of the penal system, and the raw truth of an innocent man fighting for his life.
From A to Z: Exposing the system.
Stepping back into the free world wasn't just a personal victory—it was an awakening. I survived the statistics, but a million more mugshots remain trapped from A to Z in a broken legal framework. To turn my survival into active disruption, I founded the AMILLIONMUGZ FOUNDATION L3C. Backed by data from the Prison Policy Initiative and The Sentencing Project, we actively fight to expose mass incarceration and smash the stigma society places on system-impacted individuals.
The sound. The uniform. The fight.
Today, the fight continues through art, industry, and fashion. Through my independent record label, MYEMI INTERTAINMENT, my music gives an urgent voice to the voiceless. Paralleling the tracks, our social awareness apparel line, AMGZ AMILLIONMUGZ LLC, turns a symbol of systematic oppression into a uniform for justice. We take the label they gave us, reclaim it, and use it to fund real community change.

Traffic and Pedestrian Stops: Data from the Stanford Open Policing Project shows that officers stop Black drivers at significantly higher rates than white drivers, and Black individuals are more likely to be searched after being pulled over.

Lansing, Michigan — 2026 — Independent hip-hop artist and social justice advocate Composhure has officially announced the upcoming release of his highly anticipated single, "AMILLIONMUGZ," dropping this August under his independent label, MYEMI INTERTAINMENT.

The track is an unapologetic, firsthand account of structural failure, resilience, and survival. After being unjustly convicted and serving 10 grueling years in prison for a crime he did not commit, Composhure used the darkest corners of his confinement to sharpen his voice. "AMILLIONMUGZ" serves as both his sonic autobiography and an urgent rallying cry against mass incarceration in America.

The single's title and central lyric—“Quick flick, I’m a million mugz... in da block, I’m a million thugz”—confronts the instant dehumanization of the arrest process and the permanent stigma society places on system-impacted individuals.

Rather than letting the system silence him, Composhure has built a multi-tiered ecosystem designed to disrupt the statistics. The launch of the single directly parallels two sister initiatives:
